Cancellation Policies

Our cancellation policy varies depending on the booking channel:

Direct Reservations (Phone, Social Media)

  • 100% Refundable: Cancellations made at least 30 days before check-in.
  • 50% Refundable: Cancellations made at least 4 days before check-in, except during High Season.
  • Non-Refundable: Cancellations made 3 days or less before check-in.
In the case of large reservations (more than 2 cabins) or long-term reservations (4 or more days), cancellation without charge (100% refund) is possible if made at least 30 days before check-in. After this period, a charge of 50% of the total reservation will apply.

We understand that major unforeseen circumstances can arise. If the 100% refund does not apply, feel free to contact us. We will assess the situation, and if possible, consider a date change (subject to availability and at CPZ's discretion).

Platforms (Booking, Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.)

The cancellation policy selected at the time of booking on the corresponding platform applies. Any cancellation requests must be made directly through the platform. .

We want to inform you that we do not accept cash payments at the time of booking; we only accept electronic means. In the event of a refund, it will be processed through the same payment method used during the reservation.

It is important to note that in situations where there is a commission associated with the payment method (such as credit cards, PayPal, remote payments through Clip, Stripe payment gateway, etc.), the refund will be made deducting said commission from the payment platform.

This policy aims to ensure complete transparency in transactions and provide a secure and efficient booking experience.

Rules and Regulations

It is the responsibility of the guest to carefully read all Rules, Regulations, and Norms in their entirety, as they are legally valid and will be applied without exception to all those staying at any property of Cabañas Puerto del Zopilote (CPZ).

1. Registration

The guest must indicate the exact number of people staying in the property. Only registered guests are allowed to stay, and we reserve the right to admission. Organizing any kind of party or event within the property is prohibited. The guest acknowledges and agrees that their stay will only be for the days stipulated in the reservation and that they cannot convert the property into their residence.

2. Check-In / Check-Out

Check-in time is at 3:00 pm. On the day of departure, the guest must vacate the property before 12:00 pm. Beyond that time, CPZ has the right to charge an extra fee according to the current rates. CPZ reserves the right to enter the property and collect the guest's belongings after the check-out time to make the room available for the next guests.

3. No Smoking

Smoking inside the cabin is strictly prohibited. There is a significant recovery fee for guests who do not comply to cover the cost of restoring the property to a smoke-free condition. It is also prohibited to have any type of weapon or illegal substance.

4. Damages

The guest agrees to leave the property in good condition and will be responsible for any missing or broken items. They also assume responsibility for the actions of all other guests in their reservation. Any damage caused by guests to objects, furniture, or property in general will be their sole responsibility, and they must cover the cost of repair or replacement. The amount to be paid is entirely at the discretion of CPZ. In addition, if the guest discovers that they have forgotten an item after checking out, they will be charged a service fee and shipping costs to have it returned by mail and/or courier.

5. Pets

In most CPZ properties, pets are not allowed. If a guest wishes to bring a pet, they must obtain explicit written permission from CPZ and confirm their consent regarding the pet policy before making a reservation. (Pets are welcome from Sunday to Thursday during the low season).

In cases where pet entry is approved, the following requirements must be met:

  1. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
  2. The pet must weigh less than 20 kg, have a complete and up-to-date vaccination record, and be fully trained.
  3. Payment of a fee and damage deposit for pet access.
  4. Pets cannot be left alone in the cabin (unless they are in a cage or crate).
  5. Guests must take responsibility for cleaning up after their pets.
  6. An additional fee may be charged if the property requires excessive cleaning.
  7. Pets are not allowed to climb onto beds or use towels, blankets, sheets, etc., owned by CPZ.

6. Children

Guests accompanied by minors must supervise them at all times and should never leave them unattended. The guest will be responsible during their entire stay for any accident the minor may suffer within CPZ properties.

7. Responsible Water Use

Have a conscious use of water, as this vital liquid needs to be pumped from distant areas to be made available. Before leaving, make sure to properly close all faucets.

8. Noise

The guest must at all times maintain respectful and considerate behavior toward other guests and neighbors, and try to keep the volume of their conversations, music, etc., moderate so as not to disturb others. Quiet hours are between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am.

9. Cameras

CPZ has installed security cameras on its properties to monitor public and common areas. All material obtained from such cameras will be made available to authorities if necessary.

10. Inspections

The property manager has the right to enter the property at any time to inspect or perform any tasks, such as repairs and general maintenance. (With prior notice).

11. Release of Liability and Indemnification

  1. Personal belongings of any value should never be left unattended. CPZ declines all responsibility for the loss or theft of jewelry, money, documents, or other valuables of any kind. Every time guests leave the property, they must close windows, lock all doors, and keep their personal belongings safe and secure.
  2. Neither CPZ nor the property owner or any of their representatives will be responsible for any injury, loss, illness, or damage to any guest or guest property.
  3. Neither CPZ, nor the property owner, nor their representatives shall be liable for disturbances or inconveniences that guests may experience during their stay, caused by actions of neighbors or fortuitous circumstances, such as interruptions in water, gas, electricity, or internet services. CPZ will do its best to prevent noise disturbances, but it will not be held responsible for them.
  4. We reserve the right to terminate the guest's reservation when the indicated prohibitions are violated, without the offending guest having the right to a reduction in their debts for lodging or agreed services, being also subject to payment for compensation for damages or deterioration caused to the property or public areas of it.
